How do you get airline tickets?

Filed Under Airline Tickets | Comments Off

Question by Jacob B: How do you get airline tickets?
I am serious… Im 14 and I am just curious how does one buy airline tickets… whats the process?

Best answer:

Answer by -SeXii BeXii-
go to cheapoair.com or cheapflights.com or expedia.com, any of those things or you could call the airline directly. you cant travel on a plane by yourself until youre 15 unless you have like a chaperone person from the airport. that costs $ 50 each way = $ 100 just for paperwork the whole time. its so stupid, they dont even do anything for you. and youre the first to get on the plane and the last to get off. talk about boring.

When purchasing airline tickets, what is the best timing. Is it 14 days prior for best price? Do airline tickets get cheaper the closer to the flight date or are they less expensive the farther from the flight date?

Yes…provided that is is in the same booking class that you booked in the airline will give you a travel credit to apply to the next ticket purchased.

Question by fifty: What cheap travel site lets you see the best deals from your city without date and destination restrictions?
I’m trying to find great travel deals from Denver and I don’t care about dates or destination. I just want to see the least expensive. Every site I see makes me enter dates and destination which hinders finding the absolutely cheapest vacation. When I entered “anywhere” in one site, I got a $ 6000 trip to Aomori.

Answer by neverdugdisco
I would suggest trying Southwest.com. they are generally the cheapest and they don’t work with any of the online travel agents like travelocity, or expedia. I would suggest a flight from denver to Las Vegas if you are trying to save money.. if you dont gamble its a pretty cheap place to stay and eat and theres a lot of free shows and stuff to see out on the strip.

Question by Theresa: Im looking for cheap travel ideas from paris to london, any ideas?
After christmas I want to go to Paris and London and I am looking for the cheapest way to travel from one to the other? Also if you have any Ideas for New Years in either location?

Best answer:

Answer by Hoppelemine
Eurostar (train) is the quickest and easiest. You may find a budget airline flight for less money but it’s more hassle. Eurostar takes you from the center of one city to the center of the other.

New Year in either city is expensive. For London the West End and Trafalgar Square are the popular places to go. In Paris the Champs-Elysse and Arc du Triomphe (spelling is probably wrong) are very good areas. Be careful in Paris they like to throw fireworks into crowds of people which can get scary.

Have fun!

Question by : What type of airline tickets should I get for going to Cambodia?
I already know the day that I want to leave on but don’t know when am coming back yet?
So what type of airline tickets should I get?

Best answer:

Answer by Gerald J
You should try to buy the least expensive ticket that allows schedule changes for a resoanable fee. Normally there is a fee involved and you may have to pay any difference in fares, but it’s normally much cheaper than a fully flexible non-resticted ticket that allows changes for free.

It’s probably best to enter a return date, but check with the airline to see if the ticket is changeable and how much it will cost to make any changes. There are many fare classes with different fare rules, also be sure the validity of the ticket remains valid for as long as you think you might be staying in Cambodia. Most airlines no longer have “open tickets,” but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
